The female population at the Isabella County Jail has grown. The reason there are more inmates is because of overcrowding at St. Clair’s Jail System. 11 inmates , so far, have been transferred to Isabella County temporarily. It’s not the first time this has happened. Inmates sent to other jails because of overcrowding tend to be lower security risk.
