• Royal watchers thought that the potential names of Meghan and Harry’s first child were let slip
  • But Buckingham Palace has denied the rumors

Yesterday we told you that the British press was freaking out about the possibility that they may have uncovered Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s baby gender and name (Arthur, James, and Alexander were apparently saved web pages). Now Buckingham Palace is pouring cold water on the theories. Sorry kids, Buckingham Palace has shot down the rumors in a statement to E! News.

“A large number of search term redirects were set up some time ago on Royal.uk,” they explain. “This was in order to improve user experience.” Case in point? One of the top potential names being reported is Grace… which does come up as “Page Not Found” if you search it on the site. Beyond that, bettors in Britain have a whole nuther name has emerged as a favoriteAllegra.

“We’re scratching our heads as to why we’ve seen so much interest in Allegra,” says Alex Apati of Ladbrokes.  “But the bets are coming in thick and fast and it’s been by far the most popular pick of the month with punters.” Names aside, Britons are positively frothing over Baby Sussex. Late word is that Meghan’s due date is actually tomorrow. We’ll find out the truth soon enough!
