A man accused of duping investors by pretending to be George Clooney has been nabbed after years on the run. Francesco Galdelli and his wife Vanja Goffi, dubbed the “Italian Bonnie and Clyde,” were arrested in Thailand on Sunday, according to police.
Francesco has reportedly confessed to faking being Clooney to “trick people into sending money” for a clothes business. He’s said to have scammed investors out of more than $128,000.
The two are wanted in Italy for even more scams. They’ve sold fake Rolexes online, sending salt packets to customers instead of the watches.
