CNBC “Mad Money” host Jim Cramer’s wallet containing more than $1,000 was stolen by a security guard at a museum on Tuesday night.

The host was going through a metal detector at the entrance of the Museum of Jewish Heritage when he put his phone and wallet in a big but accidentally walked away without retrieving them.

When he remembered and returned to the screening area, only his phone was there. It didn’t take long to figure out what happened as police were able to review the security footage and confront the guard who swiped it.

The guard was arrested but not before he was fired on the spot by the company that was contracted to provide security for the museum.

He was charged with grand larceny and criminal possession of the stolen property. The actual value of the wallet was only $18.
