Faye Dunaway has been fired from a Broadway-bound play because – among other things – she didn’t know how to keep her hands to herself. Sources say she slapped and threw things at crew members who were trying to put her wig on before going onstage for the July 10thperformance of “Tea at Five” in Boston.
Word is, the cancellation only made Faye angrier. Sources say she started “verbally abusing” the crew, which made them fearful for their safety. But that wasn’t the Oscar winner’s only instance of behaving badly. Insiders said that she was frequently late for rehearsals, sometimes up to two hours.
They say Dunaway refused to allow anyone to look at her during rehearsals, including the director and the playwright. Although she had the script for six months, it’s also alleged that she was never able to learn her lines. During the run of the play at the Huntington Theater, she was fed lines and blocking through an earpiece.
