As you may recall, Bindi Irwin is engaged to her boyfriend of six years, Chandler Powell. While she’s said that her late dad Steve Irwin would have given the marriage his stamp of approval, that apparently doesn’t count for everyone in the Irwin family. Bindi’s grandpa Bob, who’s been estranged from the family ever since his son’s passing, has reportedly been banned from the wedding.
Bob has spoken out to Radar Online for the first time about the family feud, saying that the drama around the wedding is all a misunderstanding. He insists he doesn’t disapprove of Bindi’s nuptials, that he was just misquoted after refusing to speak to a reporter asking about the engagement. While he wishes the happy couple well, he says he’s not expecting the wedding invite at this point.
Another member of the Irwin fam has also spoken out about the feud. Steve Irwin’s older sister Joy has broken her silence about being estranged from the family ever since her husband Frank was “walked out” of the Australia Zoo by Steve’s widow Terri in 2016… and they apparently even had to sign a confidentiality agreement about the incident afterwards.
