Hotel guests at the Fairfield Inn in Mt Pleasant were evacuated Friday night after smoke began pouring out of a heating unit from a hotel room. The hotel lobby now has water damage and the hotel room where the fire started has serious smoke and fire damage. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
