Zac Efron got a little too literal while filming his upcoming docu-series “Killing Zac Efron” in Papua New Guinea ahead of the holidays. According to reports, the actor had a brush with death after contracting a life-threatening bacterial infection during his trip.
Following rumors that he was on his death bed, the actor has spoken out to set the record straight. Yes, he did “get sick” in Papua New Guinea, but no, he’s not dying – in fact, Efron says he “bounced back quick” and wrapped up three weeks of filming just in time to spend the holidays with friends and family.
Luckily, the actor was flown out for emergency treatment in the nick of time. He was reportedly airlifted to an airport in Australia, and then brought to a hospital from there to get treated. Now, he’s back home for the holidays looking healthy as ever, ready to launch “Killing Zac Efron” on Quibi… which thankfully didn’t get so literal.
