Michigan State Police (MSP) are investigating issues with the state’s DataMaster DMT devices; which test the alcohol on people’s breath. The state started a (3) year, $1.26 million dollar contract with the supplier back in 2018. Last year, they discovered some issues with some of the techs who run the devices. MSP has since taken all (203) devices in the state, out of service, until they can be inspected.
