Mo’Nique is taking Oprah Winfrey to task again – this time for what she calls a disparity in how she treats people who’ve been accused of the same thing. In an open letter on Instagram, the comedienne highlights O’s response to Harvey Weinstein versus her response to Russell Simmons and Michael Jackson. As you know, all have been accused of sexual misconduct.

Mo’Nique pointed out that Oprah was involved in projects that highlighted the indiscretions of MJ and Uncle Russ. But when it came to Harvey, the Queen of Talk said, “If we make this all about Harvey Weinstein then we have lost the moment.” Mo said, “When you either are, or were going to be a part of documentary on Michael Jackson, and Russell Simmons, how is that not making it all about them?” She accused O of being racist since the only difference between the men was skin color.

Mo then shared that she’d first met the mogul when she was 16. Oprah told her at the time that she’d have to work really hard to be like her. “My sixteen year old self didn’t know that you in your silence in the face of wrongdoing, would make my life ‘harder’,” she notes. “Please consider standing by the people who are right and not just the ‘right people’.”
