Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are getting a warm welcome from their new neighbors on Vancouver Island. While the secluded Canadian community doesn’t normally attract celebrities, they’re reportedly banding together to help the Royal couple keep their privacy.

As you may recall, Harry and Meghan threatened to sue the paps after Meghan was snapped while out for a walk in the area with baby Archie. According to “Entertainment Tonight,” media attention around the two has been interfering with local businesses, too – some even putting up signs to ward off the press.

Despite past reports that Canadians don’t want Harry and Meghan staying there, Vancouver Island locals are reportedly stepping up to help protect the couple’s privacy so they can live a “normal” life. It looks like it’s working, as “People” reports that the two feel like “a weight has been lifted” as they “enjoy quiet life” in Canada.
