Bindi Irwin has been planning her wedding to Chandler Powell for almost a year. Thanks to the coronavirus, they had to change everything at the last minute. The two ended up saying, “I do,” hours before the government of Australia instituted a curfew that would’ve restricted the ceremony to five people.

Bindi and Chandler exchanged vows at the Australia Zoo in a small private ceremony where her brother, Robert, walked her down the aisle. There were no guests, and her mother, Terri, helped her get ready.

“We’ve planned this beautiful day for nearly a year and had to change everything, as we didn’t have guests at our wedding,” Chandler said in the caption of a wedding photo. “This was a very difficult decision but important to keep everyone safe. We wish all of our friends and family could have been there with us, however it’s lovely that we will be able to share photos and videos. Right now we’re encouraging the world to hold onto hope and love, which will carry us forward during this profound time in history.”
