Ken Spears has passed away at 82. The co-creator of the iconic cartoon “Scooby-Doo” died of complications from Lewy body dementia, as confirmed by his son Kevin to “Variety.” Spears created “Scooby-Doo” in 1969 with cartoonist and writing partner Joe Ruby, who died this August at 87. In a statement, Kevin says his dad will “forever be remembered for his wit, storytelling loyalty and strong work ethic.”
