Donald Bebee II has a week to decide if he wants to accept a 23-to-40-year prison sentence, or withdraw his plea and stand trial for child abuse. The Mt Pleasant man was accused of what Isabella County Chief Judge Paul Chamberlain called “inexcusable” abusive acts toward his son. Bebee also faces a possible life sentence because of his habitual offender status.
