Central Michigan University sophomore Bella Barricklow became the university’s first student to study abroad in Cuba. The Ann Arbor English major spent the month of June in the country, which had been shut off from U.S. citizens for 54 years. Barricklow said she noticed that the country places a lot of emphasis on art and that people seem very willing to share despite having relatively little.
