The Great Lakes Loons saw their playoff hopes take a bit of a blow falling 5-4 in a walk-off against the Fort Wayne TinCaps Thursday in Fort Wayne. Yadier Alvarez, Jose Santos and Shea Spitzbarth combined to surrender only two runs through the first 7 2/3 innings, but Tony Gonsolin surrendered three critical runs in the final frame for the loss. With the loss, the Loons lead the Lansing Lugnuts by only a half-game for the final Midwest League playoff spot.
