Clare County Sheriff’s deputies completed an investigation into two complaints involving an injured dog and shots being fired into a home. Police believe the incidents are connected. Central Dispatch received a call shortly before 7:20PM on December 15th reporting a family dog shot in Hayes Township. Investigators say the owner of the dog appeared to have shot a gun several times in the air. Originally they were told the dog may have been hit by a vehicle.
