Police arrested a 20-year-old Mt Pleasant man for domestic violence early Sunday morning after returning to the scene of an earlier assault on his girlfriend. The man and his 19-year-old girlfriend were arguing around 2:00AM when he spit in her face, grabbed her face, then held her to the ground, according to the police report. The man was drinking, and the woman was not. When he returned, his girlfriend told him to leave, and when he wouldn’t, she called police. While the woman was on the phone with dispatchers, the man spit in her face again.
