Alma woman Sarah Mora told a Gratiot County judge that she believed she was easing her finance’s pain and reuniting him with his mother when she murdered him last summer. Mora stabbed her 27-year-old boyfriend Thomas Mendoza in the neck in July of 2016. Mora pleaded guilty after she tried to enter a plea of insanity, but was deemed competent to stand trial. Prosecutors recommended a fixed life sentence in the plea.
