Locally owned-community minded!

It’s been a bizarre year here in Mid-Michigan, throughout the state, our country & world!

My-1043 loves the fact that we’ve been able to be here through all of the changes we’ve endured these past 12 months.  Bringing you up to the minute information on “local” happenings throughout this pandemic.

We also strongly felt it was necessary to bring some normalcy to the area by remaining on target by providing you with some fun, local contests, community activities and sporting events. The way these were delivered may have been different from previous years, but nonetheless, we delivered them to you.

At the beginning of the year, we gave away countless hours of live entertainment, featuring concerts at the casino, Cupid’s prize package, and some fun themed weekends. We also took part in the Special Olympics of Michigan’s Polar Plunge at The Wayside; and much more!

We drove around Mt. Pleasant & tossed out toilet paper when it was in high demand & absent from shelves.

My-1043 also was invited to participate in a couple of parades for the senior members of the Isabella Medical Care Facility – spreading joy & love to each resident.

We hosted our 1st ever “Commencement Saturday” – allowing the class of 2020 the chance to experience a community wide graduation, both on-air on through our social media feeds. They strongly deserved it & we were proud to serve them through this event.

We held our first ever virtual “Hometown Showdown” that took place this Summer.

We had listeners Diggin’ for Dough at Island Park, which was a fun & safe event for everyone involved!

My-1043 had a record year of attendance at our “Boo Bash” Event, held at the Isabella County Fairgrounds, on Halloween.  As everyone poured in, we made it fun & safe for each vehicle that rolled through.  Giving the kids the “trick or treating” experience they’ll never forget!

We all came together as a community to help those less fortunate in our area this holiday season with our annual “Fill A Mayflower” Event at Rics Food Center in November.  Raising the most cash & food donations we’ve ever seen with this event…again, showing our support to our local community that why we’re here & we care, greatly!

These are just a few of things we do as a “locally owned, community minded” radio station.

As we roll into another year, with fresh hope, know that My-1043 will always be here for you!
