Starting on Wednesday, the intersection of Washington and Michigan in downtown Mt Pleasant becomes a four-way stop. A safety review by the Department of Transportation recommended the change. The recommendation was meant not only to improve driver safety, but also the safety of pedestrians. Please use caution at the intersection as drivers become aware of the new law.
