Many Alma residents were not happy and were searching for answers after police Lt Kendra Overla had her interview cancelled for the city’s open public safety director position. Well today they got their answer…Loyalty. Michigan Municipal League Executive Recruiter Kathy Grinzinger said in short that candidates for any position should lie low during the process. This information was obtained by The Morning Sun via a Freedom of Information Act Request. Grinzinger went on to say thst department directors and executive admins first loyalty is to the city manager. Overla had spoke out at a past city commission meeting and commented that officers were let go in the middles of a pay period.
