Congratulations are in order for Rebel Wilson. She has won the defamation suit she filed against the Australian division of Bauer Media in May 2016. The court awarded her $3-point-6 million dollars – the largest defamation damages award in Australian legal history.

The judgment follows a unanimous jury verdict handed down in June against Bauer, which publishes “Woman’s Day” magazine, for defaming the actress by branding her a “serial liar” who “fabricated almost every aspect of her life.” Rebel said she’d missed out on several prominent film roles and other opportunities because of the lies.

Rebel said she needed to discuss the judgment with her lawyer before she commented on it.
