Two women were injured —one seriously— when their cars collided as one of the women tried to pass a semi-truck in Gratiot County’s Arcada Township last week.
Harley Miller, 34, of Alma was heading north on State Road near Polk on Thursday morning when attempted to pass a tractor trailer in front of her, according to a media release from the Gratiot County Sheriff’s Office.
Miller’s car struck a southbound car driven by Katheryn Grace, 59, Of Alma as she tried to pass the truck.
Both women were taken by ambulance to a hospital; Miller sustained minor injuries while Grace sustained serious injuries, according to the release.
Both women ere wearing seat belts and alcohol does not appear to be a factor and the accident is still under investigation.
The Gratiot County sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Ithaca Fire and rescue.
