Ronald Ekdahl, first elected to the Tribal Council two years ago, will serve as chief of the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe for the 2017-19 term, the Tribe announced Tuesday. Ekdahl replaces former public information director Frank Cloutier, who has served as chief since 2015.
