A water boil notice is in effect for a few businesses in downtown Mt Pleasant after a water main broke Monday. Crews found that a bolt had broke allowing a seal to leak water to the surface through the asphalt near Broadway and Franklin. After the source was found, officials closed down streets, shut off valves, dug up the road and made the fix. The hole in the road will be filled until new asphalt can be laid in the next couple of days.
