- Meghan Markle wants to get back to work as soon as possible after giving birth
- She doesn’t want to take extended maternity leave
- She has too many goals as a new Royal
Meghan Markle is continuing to do things a little differently than the rest of the Royals. We told you before about reports that she’s hiring a doula for her birth. Now, insiders tell Us Weekly that she doesn’t want to take extended maternity leave.
According to a source, Meghan “plans to return to work as soon as possible” after giving birth. That’s pretty different than Kate Middleton’s experience – she took off almost six months before her first Royal engagement. “[Meghan] came into the Royal family with so many goals and plans on forging ahead,” the insider adds.
If it’s true, it’s not exactly a surprise to hear. As you’ll recall, she’s known for her intense work ethic that has fueled rumors that Palace staff finds her “difficult.” And even though she technically started maternity leave around last month or so, she’s still been getting work in by meeting with her patronages.
