The actor has kept himself busy as an uncle thanks to his sister Maggie Gyllenhaal, who has two daughters, 12-year-old Ramona and seven-year-old Gloria. But he admits he wouldn’t mind having a mini-me of his own. “I do hope to be a father one day,” he says.
It’s probably thanks to his new Broadway show “Sea Wall/A Life” that the actor has fatherhood on his mind. In his own words, it’s about “two fathers,” and he plays “someone who’s just about to become a father” in the show.
