Al Roker had hip replacement surgery yesterday. In case you missed it, the day before he told Hoda Kotb that his left hip had been deteriorating for the last three months. Apparently osteoarthritis was a contributing factor, and his recent trip to Greenland – where he reported on climate change – didn’t help. His sister, Lisa, is having both hips replaced so he joked, “We’ve got a family plan going.” If all goes according to plan, he’ll be back on “Today” on Monday, September 30th.
