We told you before that Pamela Anderson and her beau Jon Peters split less than two weeks after getting secretly married – and apparently, it was via a breakup text from Peters. His takeaway from his 12-day marriage to Pammy? As he puts it, “There’s no fool like an old fool.”

Speaking to “Page Six,” the Hollywood producer has shot down some of the rumors about the relationship – including that he proposed to Anderson. He says it was “a dream come true” that SHE asked him to marry her. And more than that? Funnily enough, it was the same way the breakup went down, via text. Peters says he “dropped everything” for her, even though he was engaged to someone else at the time.

Some of that “everything” he says he “dropped?” Almost $200,000 worth of debt – hers. Peters claims that Anderson was “broke” when they linked up, and that he paid off her debts before the short-lived marriage fizzled out. “And this is the thanks I get,” he adds. “There’s no fool like an old fool.”
