David Letterman may be considered a funny man by most, but Quentin Tarantino does not agree.
Years ago, while the director was dating an unnamed actress, Letterman alluding to the fact that she was too good-looking for Tarantino on his show. The famous director was not amused. In fact, he was so unamused by it that he called Letterman up a few days later, threatening him. “He starts screaming at me,” Letterman said. “‘I’m going to beat you to death. I’m going to kill you. I’m coming to New York, and I’m gonna beat the crap out of you. How can you say that about me?!’”
Tarantino obviously never followed through with the threats. The two spoke about it years later, while Tarantino was promoting “Inglorious Bastards.” Five minutes before the show was set to start, Letterman confronted Tarantino about it. They even joked about it during the interview. But, things have never been the same between the two since.
