A study of 25 emergency demolitions in Detroit, found small to undetectable concentrations of asbestos, which has been linked to cancer and other illnesses. Of 101 air samples analyzed, 54 showed a measurable “amount of dust of any kind” but very little asbestos which surprised environmental professionals.
