The Michigan Catastrophic Claims Association says they will act on Governor Whitmer’s plan to return $3 billion worth of surplus refunds to Michigan drivers. The process started last month when Whitmer called on the MCCA to return their projected $5 billion surplus. That was unanimously approved by the MCCA. After a review, they determined $3 billion dollars could be returned to Michigan policy holders in the form of four hundred dollar checks. Those checks are expected to arrive in the first quarter of next year.
