A popular episode of “The Simpsons” that features Michael Jackson‘s voice is being pulled in the midst of controversy over the z’Leaving Neverland” documentary.
The late King of Pop voiced a character in a mental institution who believes he is Michael Jackson in a 1991 episode titled Stark Raving Dad. Executive producer James L. Brooks has decided to pull it from circulation after the airing of the documentary, telling the “Wall Street Journal” “it feels clearly like the only choice to make.”
Other backlash to singer’s legacy is Canadian radio stations have removed Jackson songs from their playlists and a Jackson statue was removed from Britain’s National Football Museum.
“Leaving Neverland” is about two men who claim that Jackson sexually abused them when they were young boys.
