Isabella County officials have made it known to city officials they are interested in putting a new jail on city property. That property is where the former Mt Pleasant Center stood. County officials asked if city commissioners would be open to seeing a presentation on it and City Manager Nancy Ridley said the city told the county they would discuss it and get back to them. There is no timetable.
