Prince Andrew apparently isn’t being as helpful in the ongoing criminal investigation into convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein as he said he would be. As you might recall, back in November, Andrew released a statement saying he was “willing to help any appropriate law enforcement agency with their investigations.” Okay…but?

Federal prosecutors in New York are saying he’s provided “zero cooperation to date.” Geoffrey Berman – United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York – says Andrew and his attorneys have been contacted by his district as well as the FBI for questioning, and they’ve gotten nowhere.

Disclosing who’s part of a criminal investigation isn’t the usual move, but Berman points out that Andrew “publicly offered” his cooperation in the first place.

In a statement to “ABC News,” Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre’s camp has also called out Andrew’s purported silence. “[It] raises even more questions about the role he played in the international sex trafficking ring,” the statement reads. “Prince Andrew should take most seriously the deeply held belief in this country that no one is above the law.”
