A recent order from Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer aims to help local bars and restaurants financially affected by the virus pandemic. On Monday, she signed Executive Order 2020-46, tasking the Michigan Liquor Control Commission (MLCC) with initiating a “buy-back” of alcohol to offer financial relief to bars and restaurants with on-premises liquor licenses affected by the ongoing pandemic.
