WHAT IS IT EXACTLY?
Into the Light is a Cancer Awareness Walk in Isabella County, MI. Participants walk, share, laugh, eat, but most of all raise awareness about cancer in our community. This event is held annually in Mount Pleasant, MI. This year it’s on September 29th, 2023. There is a cancer survivor’s candlelight ceremony and walk. This walk brings cancer survivors from our community together to provide hope and encouragement to each other and to celebrate life. The success of this event lies in the volunteer spirit of everyone. This annual event helps to raise money for Cancer Services of Isabella County. All money raised will remain in our county to help those in need. Let your family and friends know about this special event. Come walk with us.
LUMINARIES
With your donation a luminary will be made in honor of anyone who is battling cancer, a cancer survivor, or in memory of someone who has died from cancer. Luminaries light the pathway of the entire event. Donors can personalize the luminary bag with names, pictures, special messages and design.
FUND RAISING
Organize your own team and be a team captain. Any registered walker raising a minimum of $25.00 or more will receive an event T-shirt. Names of businesses or individuals making donations of $200.00 or more will be displayed on the event t-shirts, the program and the event sponsor board.

Community Cancer Services (CCS) is an all-volunteer, non-profit, tax-exempt organization which has been serving Isabella County residents dealing with cancer for over 35 years! Since no salaries are paid, approximately 90 cents out of every dollar goes directly to help needy cancer patients in our county. CCS provides financial help to Isabella County cancer patients who are struggling to pay their cancer-related expenses. Services include financial assistance for transportation cost for trips to receive treatments and consideration of individual requests for other expenses.
Team members will receive an event t-shirt (limited sizes available). Ask family, friends and co-workers to pledge their support. ALL proceeds benefit Community Cancer Services for cancer patient support. Team name will be included on event t-shirt if team information is submitted prior to September 1, 2023. T-shirts are also available for a donation of $25.
