A $101,000 grant from the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe and the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative will be used to remove dead and dying ash trees from Chip-A-Waters and Millpond Park, and replace them with new ones. The city of Mount Pleasant plans to begin the project this spring, and continue to work on it through the summer.
