One person is dead after a tire detached from a car and hit a passing vehicle on I-94 in Washtenaw County, on Tuesday Afternoon. Police were called to the scene on I-94 at State Street in Ann Arbor Township. A 38-year-old man from Jackson was driving WB when his front drivers tire detached & flew over the median wall, hitting another car heading EB on I-94. The tire hit the windshield, causing the roof to cave in & hit the driver on the head. The driver struck, was pronounced dead at the scene.
