Montcalm County this week announced they received a grant from the Office of Highway Safety and Planning to add additional road patrols at busy times of the year. The last few years they’ve had to cut back because of budget cuts. The Sheriff’s Office believes patrol numbers are the reason why traffic death numbers have risen in the county.
