The Isabella Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will be hosting a rededication of its Monument commemorating the First Public School of Isabella County on the Aug. 20. The monument was first dedicated in 1941 and stood on Old U.S.-27 at of the south end of Shepherd. The ceremony will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Salt River Park in Shepherd.
