Negotiations resume today at Alma Schools, and the school board hopes to reach an agreement with the approximately 50 members of the Alma Education Support Personnel Association. The support staff has worked without a contract since their latest contract expired in June. The biggest issue right now is the extra trips made by bus drivers for sporting or athletic events. Drivers bid on those trip currently, often impacting their ability to run their normal routes. The district’s finance director wants a substitute bus driver for those events.
