Central Michigan University dropped from 194 to 202 in the latest U.S. News & World Report’s national ranking of universities. Provost Michael Gealt said the university dropped because about 30 or 35 universities that had been regional are now national. Gealt insists the university improved citing improved graduation rates and student GPAs.
