Emory University conducted the first ever health study in the St Louis area. The focus on the study is the PBB contamination, that was accidentally mixed with cattle feed in 1973. The St Louis Velsicol Chemical plant made PBB, along with DDT and other harmful chemicals. The mapping study is open to all St Louis residents and former residents, along with those who worked at the plant.
