Consumers Energy & Midland Fire Department have determined that the strong smell permeating the Midland Area Tuesday night was from an odorant & not a natural gas leak. An email alert from Midland County Central Dispatch said the area of Salzburg & Waldo Roads discovered a leak in a tank containing both an odorant mixed with natural gas.
