A Mt Pleasant mother who lost her teenage daughter eight months ago is trying to raise money to retain a private investigator for her death. Julia Griffin died nearly two weeks after she sustained a traumatic brain injury when falling down her basement stairs. Her mother Melissa Lownsbery says discrepancies in police reports, medical reports, the autopsy, and witness accounts have left her with plenty of unanswered questions.
