The Schultz family of Gratiot County plans to donate a cabin built by Samuel Cook of Elba Township in the 1800s to the Gratiot County Historical Museum. The family saved the cabin, moving it to their farm in 1968 when it was set for destruction. The museum hired a log cabin restorer to move it to a spot northeast of the museum’s barn on Center Street in Ithaca.
